Dreamer Tours makes every attempt to describe the travel services
in our tour descriptions as accurately as possible. However the occasional
error or change in circumstances will occur. If we are advised of any significant
change, we will do our best to inform you in advance. |
 |
| Africa
Dreamer Tours requires a depost from each guest to secure your
space on the tour. The exact amont of the deposit, the conditions for payment(s),
and the deadline for final payment will vary for different tours. Please
check with us if you have any questions about payment. |
 |
| Each
of our guests is responsible for obtaining a passport and visa(s),
where required. Some countries do not require a visa for United States
citizens. Other countries like Egypt and Cambodia will allow you to purchase
your visa at the airport on arrival. For other destinations, it is necessry
to apply for a visa in advance, usually through the country's foreign embassy
or consulate. Although Africa Dreamer Tours does not supply passport services,
we can advise you on what you need and the location(s) of the nearest embassy
or consulate. |
 |
Please note that some countries
require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the
date of travel. In the case of Ghana, you are also required to have a Yellow
Fever Vaccination. |
 |
| New
rules have also come into effect over the past few years for
travel to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. All travel by air requires
that you have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, please consult
the U.S. State Department (use the button on the left-hand menu) for the
procedures. |
 |
| The
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has strict rules
about what you can and cannot bring aboard the aircraft in your carry-on
and checked luggage. Please consult their website (use the button on the
left-hand menu) for the most current information. Also please be aware
of any weight and size restrictions for your luggage and the allowable
dimensions for carry-on bags. |
 |
| Meals
provided in our tours are indicated as (B) for breakfast, (L)
for lunch, (D) for dinner. Meals not listed are at your expense. Alcoholic
beverages, soft drinks and bottled water are not inlcuded. |
 |
| You
should be aware that each country has particular features which
may or may not appeal to you, including weather, food and customs. We urge
you to read up on the countries you plan to visit in order to familiarize
yourself with local customs. Rest assured Africa Dreamer Tours is committed
to doing everything possible to make your experience with us a positive
and memorable one. |
 |
| While
some of our tours require that participants be able at times
to engage in moderate physical activities, the vast majority of our guests
have no difficulty with most of the tours that we offer. Where possible
we try to use hotels with elevators or limit room bookings to first and
second floors. Bear in mind that many African and Asian destinations have
only limited facilities for those with disabilities. Some national monuments
and parks require climbing stairs or negotiating terrain that can be challenging.
No one is required to engage in any activity that they feel might result
in personal discomfort. But for the most part, our tours include attractions
accessible to everyone. |
 |
| The
biggest challenge for many is the climate. The temperature and
humidity in Equatorial Africa, the Sahel, and Southeast Asia may come as
a surprise, so come prepared with a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. Malaria
and occasionally other tropical diseases are a significant concern in some
countries. Please consult with your own physician to determine what health
precautions you should undertake. In Ghana, a Yellow Fever Vaccination
is mandatory. Please be aware that in many countries, medical attention
for emergency situations and prescription drugs may not be as readily or
easily available as in your home country. You should bring medication and
prescription drugs with you. We have a strict No Smoking policy aboard
our motor coaches. Smoking may not be permitted in certain hotel rooms
too. Your observance of these regulations is a condition of your participation. |
